Lake & Shore Days 2026 is from August 13–16, 2026!
This year’s theme is “Under the Sea”, and we’re looking forward to a weekend filled with fun activities, entertainment, and community events for all ages.

BINGO – Lake & Shore Days Kickoff Event

Kick off Lake & Shore Days weekend with a fun night of Bingo, prizes, and community spirit! Bingo will run during our regular Thursday evening time slot, with doors opening and card sales beginning at 5:30 p.m. Early Bird/Mini Bingo starts at 6:20 p.m., followed by regular Bingo games at 7:00 p.m. There will be no limit on Hot Ball tickets, and additional prizes will be available throughout the evening!

Learn to Play Pickleball
Date: Friday, August 14, 2026
Time: 6:00–8:00 p.m.
Location: Porters Lake Courts at the Porters Lake Community Centre
Cost: Free

Ages: All ages welcome
Join us during Lake & Shore Days for a free Learn to Play Pickleball session at the Porters Lake Courts, located at the Porters Lake Community Centre. This session is a great opportunity for anyone interested in trying pickleball for the first time, learning the basics, or building confidence on the court. No experience is necessary, and equipment will be provided. This event is open to all ages; however, space is limited to 16 participants, so sign-up is required in advance.

Whether you are brand new to the sport or simply curious to give it a try, this is a fun and welcoming way to get involved during Lake & Shore Days.
Trivia Night
Date: Friday, August 14, 2026
Time: 8:00 p.m.
Location: Porters Lake Community Centre
Cost: $5 per person
Host: Old No. 7’s Will Gilligan
Team Size: Up to 6 people
Bar: Open during the event
Get ready for a night of trivia, laughs, prizes and friendly competition at the Porters Lake Community Centre. Hosted by Old No. 7’s Will Gilligan, Trivia Night is a chance to gather your smartest friends, test your knowledge and enjoy a fun night out as part of Lake & Shore Days 2026. Teams can include up to six people. Participants may register with a full team, a smaller group, or on their own. Anyone who does not have a full team will be matched with other players.
The bar will be open throughout the evening, and prizes will be available to be won.
Tickets are $5 per person.

Street Parade
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Route: Starts at the Superstore parking lot, travels along Stella Drive, continues westbound on Highway 7, and finishes at the Porters Lake Community Centre
Registration: Required for participants
Theme: Under the Sea
The Lake & Shore Days Street Parade is returning for 2026! Local businesses, organizations, community groups, teams, families and individuals are invited to participate by entering a float, vehicle or walking group. This is a great opportunity to be part of a beloved community tradition and help bring excitement to the streets of Porters Lake. This year’s Lake & Shore Days theme is Under the Sea. Parade participants are encouraged to have fun incorporating the theme into their entry; however, themed decorations are not required in order to participate.
All parade participants must register in advance using the Google Form below:

Spectators are encouraged to find a safe place along the route to watch, cheer and enjoy the parade. Parade participants should ensure their entry is family-friendly and safe for the route. Additional details may be shared with registered participants closer to the event date.
Princess High Tea
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: Porters Lake Community Centre
Cost: $5 per child / $10 per adult
Registration/Tickets: Required
Parent/Guardian Requirement: A parent or guardian must be present with each child
Join us for a magical Under the Sea Princess High Tea during Lake & Shore Days 2026. Families are invited to enjoy an afternoon of tea, treats, princess vibes and photo opportunities with our water-themed princesses. This event is designed to be a special outing for parents and children to enjoy together. Children are welcome to dress in their favourite princess, prince, royal or under-the-sea attire, although costumes are not required.

Paint Your Own Miniature
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 1:00–2:30 p.m.
Location: Basement of the Porters Lake Community Centre
Cost: Free
Registration: Not required
Ages: Open to all ages
Parent/Guardian Requirement: A parent or guardian must remain on site with children
Availability: First-come, first-served while supplies last
Join us during Lake & Shore Days for a free Paint Your Own Miniature activity.Participants can choose from a selection of miniature models, including:
- Princess-inspired figures
- Fantasy characters
- Construction vehicles
Once a model is selected, participants can paint their miniature, make it their own and take the finished creation home with them. This activity is open to all ages and no registration is required; however, models will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. A parent or guardian must remain on site with children throughout the activity.
This event is taking place at the same time as the Princess High Tea, but will be located downstairs in the basement of the Porters Lake Community Centre.
Beer Tent & Video Dance
Date: Saturday, August 15, 2026
Time: 8:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.
Location: Porters Lake Community Centre Basketball Court
Age Requirement: 19+ event

You asked, and Lake & Shore Days 2026 is delivering — the Beer Tent is back! Join us for a 19+ night of music, dancing, drinks and fun at the Porters Lake Community Centre Basketball Court. This year’s Beer Tent will feature a Video Dance, with music videos playing throughout the evening. The first 25 people to purchase tickets will each have the opportunity to request a song. The bar will be open throughout the event.
Ticket Pricing:

Advance Tickets: $18 per person after July 20
At the Door: $20 per person, if tickets are still available

Family Yoga

Instructor: Maria Payne
In Partnership With: Kinfolk Haven Wellness Centre. Start the final day of Lake & Shore Days with a relaxing outdoor Family Yoga session. This free, all-ages class will be led by Maria Payne in partnership with Kinfolk Haven Wellness Centre and will take place on the pickleball courts at the Porters Lake Community Centre. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat. No registration is required. Families, individuals and participants of all experience levels are welcome to attend.
Car Show & Kids Carnival
Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
Location: Porters Lake Community Centre
The Lake & Shore Days Car Show and Kids Carnival will bring together a fun afternoon of vehicles, family activities and community excitement at the Porters Lake Community Centre. Community members are invited to stop by, check out the cars, enjoy the carnival atmosphere and take part in a fun afternoon for all ages. Additional event details, including any registration information for vehicles, food options, activities and admission details, will be shared as they are confirmed.
Try Skipping with Jump Energy
Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 2:00–4:00 p.m.
Location: Porters Lake Community Centre
Cost: Free
Registration: Not required
Ages: Open to all ages
Format: Drop in anytime during the session
Come try skipping with Jump Energy during Lake & Shore Days 2026! Jump Energy is a local organization that offers competitive skip rope, and their coaches and athletes will be joining us to introduce participants to this fun, active sport.
Whether you are brand new to skipping or already love it, everyone is welcome to jump in and give it a try. Coaches and athletes will be available to teach the basics, demonstrate tricks and lead activities with:
- Single rope
- Partner skipping
- Double dutch
No experience is necessary. Participants should come ready to move, have fun and try something new. This activity is free to attend, open to all ages and no registration is required. Drop in anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.
Boat Parade
Date: Sunday, August 16, 2026
Time: 9:00 p.m.
Location: Porters Lake
Registration: Not required
Theme: Under the Sea encouraged, but optional
Fireworks: There will be no fireworks following the parade this year. Help us close out Lake & Shore Days 2026 by lighting up Porters Lake for a magical twilight Boat Parade. Boaters are encouraged to decorate their boats with lights to help create a bright and memorable parade across the lake. This year’s Lake & Shore Days theme is Under the Sea, and participants are welcome to incorporate the theme into their decorations; however, decorating is not required in order to join. This is a fun, non-competitive event. There will be no judging and no registration is required.
Boat Parade Route:
The parade will begin on the north side of the narrows, travel through the narrows, continue in a clockwise circle around the cove near Docks R Us, and finish at Sandy Point Beach. Boaters who wish to participate should be at the north side of the narrows by 9:00 p.m. Community members who are not participating by boat are encouraged to find a safe spot along the shoreline to watch, cheer on the boats and enjoy the final night of Lake & Shore Days. Please note that there will be no fireworks following the Boat Parade this year.
